INCA was designed to hero the cuisine. The raw flames, the smell of the embers and the taste of the energetic and vibrant food itself. The restaurant design was developed to act as the backdrop. Informed by the landscapes of Peru, solid and grounding materials are used in a colour palette that is earthy, rich and inviting. The shopfront referenced an authentic Peruvian street scape. The full height ornamental iron gates are in fact for domestic security, which open to reveal beautifully crafted timber doors sourced from South America, these welcome you into the restaurant. Another key feature which references the sacred rainbow mountains in Peru is the softly coloured rammed earth wall at the rear of the restaurant, where the layers of compacted earth bear the textures of the construction process.
